ISO 27001 Certification

Ontex are pleased to announce the achievement of ISO 27001 certification

ISO 27001 is the internationally recognised standard which sets out the specification for Information Security Management Systems. This system ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of vital systems and data. Ontex Healthcare has been awarded ISO27001 following an assessment by an independent body, and the award is supported by the Government and recommended by the NHS.

Being awarded the certificate recognises that that Ontex has correctly documented policies and procedures in place for managing risk in both their environment and systems and that that those policies are regularly reviewed and adapted as those risks change.

Andrew May, Ontex IT Manager says; "This ensures that Ontex are fully protected to appropriate security levels and that all Ontex staff are aware of the risks involved in our business - with specific attention to NHS data."

This ISO is subject to both annual external audit and internal audits, ensuring a full review of policies takes place every 6 months.
